Jerry Kyle Chadwell, 71 of Ewing, VA, passed away Saturday December 22, at the Tri-State Health and Rehabilitation Center in Harrogate, TN. He was born September 22, 1941 in Ewing, VA, the son of the late Morgan and Myrtle Shackleford Chadwell. He was a member of the Gibson Station Missionary Baptist Church. He had worked for many years for Flavorich Dairy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Morgan Bosco Chadwell, Zane Chadwell, Quinton Chadwell and Harold Chadwell.
He is survived by the following members of his family: wife, Diana Chadwell of Ewing, VA; son, Morgan Chadwell of Ewing, VA; daughter, Sonya (Keith) Olson of Rose Hill, VA; step daughter, Vickie (Scott) Nicely of Ewing, VA; grandchildren: Alisha Chadwell, Kyle and Allie Olson; step grandchild, Ethan Nicely; special cousin, Marvin Chadwell; special friend, Bob Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, at the Creech Funeral Home with the Rev. Preston Smith presiding. Music will be provided by Jimmy and Adam Barnes. Interment will follow in the Chadwell Cemetery at Ewing, VA. Pallbearers will be Doug Howard, Jeff Ayers, Scott Nicely, Fred Fellers and Adam Barnes. The family received friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, at the Creech Funeral Home.
