Dorothy Goley Gray, 89 of Balkan, KY., passed away Wednesday February 6, 2013 at the Pineville Community Hospial after a lengthy illness. She was born May 20, 1923 at Trosper, KY. (Knox Co.), a daughter of the late Frank and Sarah Jane Overton Goley. She was a faithful member of the Whipple Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years: Henry Matt Gray, Sr.; her oldest son: Don Gray; granddaughter: Tara Crawford; son-in-law: George Mekras.

Survivors include: 2 sons: Carson Gray of London, KY and Henry (Ann) Gray, Jr. of Cubbage; 3 daughters: Dora Mekras of Fort Meyers, FL., Betty (Dewey) Crawford of Louisville, KY. and Evelyn (Phil) Johnson of The Colony, TX; grandchildren: Kathy, Chris, Becky, Tabitha and Scotty; 4 great granddaughters and 2 great grandsons.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Cecil Hensley and Shelby Money presiding. Music by The Ramsey Family. Interment will follow at the Miracle Cemetery at Balkan, KY. Pallbearers will be Scott Gray, Ronnie Slusher and other friends of the family. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Creech Funeral Home.
