Billy Lewis Rucker, age 80, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Claiborne County Hospital. He was born in Middlesboro, KY on July 17, 1932, the son of the late JD and Mae Harrell Rucker. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Billie Jean Hill Rucker; son, Byron Lewis Rucker; brothers: Chester and Alva Rucker; sisters: Cleo Robbins, Opal Madon, and Frances Miller. He was a Veteran of the US Army.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Mike Jefferson, Cumberland Gap, TN; his son and daughter –in-law, Bobby and Linda Rucker, Knoxville, TN; sisters: Alice (Casper) Heath and Charlene Rucker, Middlesboro, KY and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Kitts Cemetery, Washburn, TN with Rev. Dallas Harrell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shumate Funeral Home.
