Phyllis Ann Hamlin Partin, 59 of Cumberland Gap, TN, passed away Sunday March 3, at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. She was born May 17, 1953 in Middlesboro, KY, the daughter of the late Ancil Clyde “A.C.” Hamlin and Isabel Frazier Hamlin.
Phyllis enjoyed life to the fullest, always being able to bring a smile to everyone’s face. She was strong and determined to help everyone along the way. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was the rock of the family and will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son: Rodney Carl Partin.
She is survived by the following members of her family: her loving husband of 41 years: Carl Partin of Cumberland Gap, TN; 2 children: Contrina Partin of Nashville, TN and Timmy (Ashley) Partin of Sevierville, TN; 2 grandchildren: Austin Partin of Seymour, TN and Landon Partin of Phoenix City, AL; 2 brothers: Harold (Anita) Hamlin of Middlesboro, KY and Maurice (Irma Jean) Hamlin of Cumberland Gap, TN; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Powers presiding.
Music will be provided by the Powers Family and Irma Jean Hamlin.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the New Vine Cemetery at Chenoa, KY.
Pallbearers will be Randall Webb, William Webb, Daniel Partin, Todd Hamlin, Jamie Williamson and Dave Widener.
