John Henry Jackson, 80 of Miracle, KY., passed away Friday March 1, 2013. He was born May 5, 1932 at Balkan, KY., a son of the late Samps and Mary Wilson Jackson.
He was a member of the Oakdale Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a \dDaughter: Judy Trout.
Survivors include: wife: Zella Jackson of Miracle, KY.; 2 daughters: Janet (Craig Sponburgh) Marks of Wildwood, FL. and Sandy (Jim) McCracken of The Villages, FL.; 2 sisters: Viola (Rev. Alonzo) Miracle of Middlesboro and Sarah Ellen Shell of Miracle, KY.; 7 grandchildren: Jason Trout, Angela Burcroff, Andy Malls, Christy Jacob, Lindsay Trout, Katie Wilson, and Jeff McCracken; 14 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Miracle presiding.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Creech Funeral Home.
A Funeral service will also held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Raven-Choate Funeral Home in Marion, IN. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Raven-Choate Funeral Home in Marion, IN.
Interment will be in Grant Memorial Park at Marion, IN.
