Pineville, Middlesboro advance in All ‘A’ tourney

With her Lady Lions down by six after three quarters, sophomore guard Whitney Caldwell scored 16 of her 21 points as Pineville rallied for a 54-46 win Tuesday over Lynn Camp in the first round of the 13th Region All “A” Classic at Red Bird.

Raigan King, a sophomore forward, added 17 points for the Lady Lions.

Bradi Coe led Lynn Camp with 16 points.

Pineville will play Middlesboro in the semifinals after the Lady Jackets advanced with a 51-41 win over Barbourville.

Baylee Woody and Kailey Owens led the Lady Jackets with 12 points each.

Abby Smith paced Barbourville with 17 points.

Williamsburg will play Harlan at 6 and Middlesboro will meet Pineville at 7:30 in the semifinals on Thursday. The championship game is set for 7 p.m. on Friday.
